Training other teachers brings responsibilities beyond a class register. Applicants need to understand the course, trainees need consistent information and you need reliable evidence of attendance and completion. A connected system helps, but it does not replace the educational standards you set.
Separate the course from each intake
The curriculum and course description may stay the same while dates, venues, fees and capacity change. Keep those separate so each new cohort does not require a duplicate course. In Sangha, intakes hold the run-specific details while modules, applications, attendance and certificates remain linked to the appropriate intake.
Publish a clear prospectus
- Who the course is for and any entry requirements.
- Curriculum, teaching format and faculty.
- Dates, locations and expected independent study.
- Assessment and attendance expectations.
- Fees, payment options and cancellation terms.
- Accreditation claims you can substantiate.
Do not imply that a logo alone makes a qualification recognised. Confirm the standards and permissions that apply to your course.
Use applications to support selection
Practice history, intentions and relevant experience can inform your decision. Keep application records and communicate offers or declines clearly. Booking capacity and application status should agree so applicants are not invited into a closed intake.
Keep payment choices understandable
Where you offer deposits or instalments, show the total fee and payment dates before acceptance. Automated card collection can support the plan; failed payments and agreed adjustments still need a clear record. Consider bursaries or discounts only under terms you have actually set.
Build evidence as the course runs
Take attendance for each module or training day and review contact hours against your course requirements. Accrediting bodies may have different rules; there is no single universal statutory attendance threshold for every training course.
Issue certificates from verified completion
Review assessment and attendance before issuing. Sangha can create numbered certificates and retain verification records. Previewing a certificate is separate from issuing one, so design checks need not create a trainee record.
Keep the administration steady enough that your attention can remain on mentoring, feedback and the teaching itself.
