Terms and conditions

1. Who we are
Sangha is software for self-employed teachers of yoga, pilates and related classes. It keeps a teaching diary, issues invoices, records expenses, and gives each teacher a booking page for their students. Sangha is run by Tim Framp trading as Sangha, 55 Sutherland Boulevard, 3 Toby Way, Surbiton, KT5 9PA, and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC261996. You can reach us at hello@sangha.fit. Using Sangha means you accept these terms.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or over to open a teacher account, and 16 or over to open a student account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your login. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
3. Teachers and their students
Classes, prices, passes, refunds and cancellations are agreed between a teacher and their students. Sangha records those arrangements but is not a party to them, does not teach classes, and is not responsible for what happens in a class or at a venue. Teachers are responsible for their own insurance, qualifications and tax affairs.
4. Physical activity and safety
Yoga, pilates and similar classes involve physical exertion and carry a risk of injury. Students take part at their own risk and should tell their teacher about any health condition and seek medical advice where unsure. Waivers and health forms in Sangha are between the student and the teacher. Sangha does not give health advice and, to the extent the law allows, is not liable for injury or loss arising from any class.
5. Money
Card payments are processed by Stripe. When a teacher takes payments, the money goes to the teacher's own Stripe account; the teacher is the seller and Sangha is not. Teachers accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Sangha takes no commission on payments; Stripe's own card fees apply. Refunds are the teacher's decision under their own cancellation policy; refunding a pass closes it. Teachers are responsible for disputes and chargebacks on their payments, including Stripe's fees. Figures Sangha produces — including tax-year summaries — help you and your accountant; they are not tax advice, and you remain responsible for what you file.
6. Student data
For a teacher's student records, the teacher is the controller and Sangha the processor. Our data processing agreement forms part of these terms for every teacher account.
7. Your content
Text, images and records you put into Sangha stay yours. You give us permission to store and display them so the service works — for example showing your class descriptions on your public booking page. Don't upload anything unlawful, misleading, or that you don't have the right to use.
8. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to reach data belonging to another account, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it automatically, or use it to send unsolicited marketing. We may suspend an account that does.
9. Availability
We work to keep Sangha running and backed up, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or improve features over time; if a change materially reduces what you rely on, we'll tell you.
10. Ending it
You can stop using Sangha and ask us to close your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms. On closure we delete or anonymise your data, except where we must keep records — for example financial records kept for tax purposes.
11. Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise our liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.
12. Law
