Who we are

Sangha is run by Tim Framp trading as Sangha, 55 Sutherland Boulevard, 3 Toby Way, Surbiton, KT5 9PA. We are the data controller for teacher accounts and for student logins, and are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZC261996. For students' records with a teacher, the teacher is the controller and Sangha processes the data for them. For any privacy question, email hello@sangha.fit.

What we hold

For teachers: your name, trading details, email, the classes and venues you teach, invoices, payments, expenses and any bank details you choose to store (kept encrypted). For students: your name, email, phone if you give it, your bookings, passes and payments, messages with your teacher, and — where a teacher uses them — health answers and signatures on a waiver or PAR-Q form. Health information is treated as special category data and is only visible to you and the teacher you gave it to.

Why we hold it

To provide the service you asked for (your contract with us), to meet legal duties such as keeping financial records, and — for waivers and health answers — because you gave explicit consent when you signed them. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Each teacher can only see their own records and the students connected to them. Students can only see their own bookings, passes, payments, documents and messages. This is enforced in the database itself, not only in the pages you see.

We use trusted suppliers to run Sangha: hosting and database, email delivery, payment processing, and video calling where a teacher uses it. They act on our instructions and hold data under contract. For student records, the teacher is the controller and Sangha processes the data for them — see our data processing agreement for the full list of suppliers.

Cookies and storage

We use only essential cookies and browser storage: to keep you signed in, to remember which teacher's pages you're looking at, and to remember that you've seen the cookie notice. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. Your session ends automatically after 30 minutes without activity. See the cookie policy.

How long we keep it

While your account is open, and afterwards only where we must: financial records for six years, and signed waivers for as long as a teacher needs them as evidence. Everything else is deleted or anonymised when an account closes.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to send it elsewhere. Students can also end their connection to a teacher at any time from the Teachers page in their account. To make a request, contact your teacher for records they hold, or email us at hello@sangha.fit. If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, quoting our registration number ZC261996. Every news email carries an unsubscribe link, and opting out takes effect immediately.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is separated account by account, bank details are stored encrypted, and inactive sessions are signed out. If a breach ever put your rights at risk we would tell you and the regulator without delay.
